Enclusion
Enclusion is a consortium made up of Aptivate in conjunction with tech companies Plextek and Sagentia. Enclusion is a partner in the ITU Connect the World Initiative, which seeks as its goal to connect every village in the world by 2015. Enclusion offers a breakthrough technology to connect the rural communities throughout the world. The consortium has designed an exceptionally low cost and easy to maintain SMS data extension for GSM networks. The network extension operates on standard mobile phones and integrates seamlessly with the existing GSM infrastructure.
There are three key components to Enclusion’s offering:
- Ultra low cost, low power base stations, extending coverage using innovative radio links.
- Robust, cost effective and appropriately designed community terminals.
- The provision of high value services such as personal communications, mobile banking, business support, medical assistance and e-government.
